of Conway, AR
December 30, 1952 - June 14, 2025
William Steven (Steve) Wilson, Jr., 72, of Conway, AR, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025. He was born December 30, 1952 in Ferriday, Louisiana to Willie Maude (Eva) and William Steven Wilson, Sr.
Steve graduated from Ferriday High School and then went on to join the Navy. After his time was completed in the Navy, he went on to work for FedEx in Memphis, TN, where he stayed until he retired. Steve's favorite place on this earth was Yucatan Hunting Club, where he grew up hunting, fishing and riding horses, and continued to do so for over 50 years. The most important part of his life was his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time with them and making sure they always had everything they ever needed.
Steve was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by two sisters, Pamela Murphy of Pocahontas, and Linda Dyer of Hot Springs, and by his children, Rusty Wilson (Ashley) of Maumelle, and Angela Abbott (Ben) of Conway. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Eli, Gabriella and expected grandchild (due November 2025) Wilson, as well as John, Grayson, and Benjamin Abbott.
To honor Steve's wishes, there will be no funeral service, but we appreciate your love and support during this time.
I remember the summers visiting Granny and Papaw in Feriday and running around with Steve, Drew, Bruce and brother Rick. I'll fondly remember Steve even the memories of Drew, Steve and Rick shooting arrows up in the sky and "accidently" hitting Bruce in the leg. Going to miss you Steve
Steve was a nice guy and was always friendly when I went to their house to hang out with Linda during our elementary years. So sorry for your loss and prayers for all of the family!

So sorry for your loss. Stve was a great person
Big Buddy was one of my favorite cousins. He was always looking out for us youngins when we came to visit in the summertime. My brother, Little Buddy, enjoyed a hunt with Big Buddy when he was older. Big Buddy was always kind and now that he is with family that has gone before may he rest easy. Will always cherish our fond memories.

Cousin “Buddy.” That’s how I’ll always remember him … growing up in Ferriday, Louisiana. The farm. Turtle Lake. Sorry for your loss.
One of the most “real” people I knew. Intelligent, witty, and thoughtful. RIP dear friend.
Praying for your family
I was saddened to hear about Steve. I know his children and grandchildren will miss him as well as his sisters. He was a good guy.
I miss the good ole days. I miss my Yucatan family. My thoughts and prayers are with y’all. ❤️😢❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
The zen of this earthly plane is lessened by my friend’s absence in it. My sincerest condolences to his family.
My prayers are with the family
Buddy Wilson will always live in my heart and prayers. The times me and my daughters spent with him will always be a treasured memory.
He lived life large, always ready for the next adventure. But his heart belonged to his kids. He was proud of all of you and your spouses and children. I’m thankful to have had him in my family’s life.
Buddy was truly one of the most “real” people I ever knew. He was brilliant, witty, thoughtful and kind with a heart f gold. There was no pretense ever. What you saw today is what you would see tomorrow. RIP my beloved, good friend. Hope to see you over yonder where we’ll ride broncos and scouts, hunt, camp, and enjoy for an eternity. God Bless you and the family, Donald
All our family loved Buddy and he will always be remembered. Jackie loved and will miss his lifelong cousin and friend most of all. Love and prayers to all the family
