Patsy Sue Jackson

of Rogers, AR

August 16, 1933 - June 17, 2025

Patsy Sue Jackson, 91, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. She was born on August 16, 1933 in Clinton, Arkansas to Harlan and Winnie Johnson Patton.

Patsy was a woman of deep faith, sharp wit and boundless generosity. An active member of Central United Methodist Church in Rogers, she lived a life marked by service, devotion to her community and love for her family. A proud Razorback fan, she was always quick to cheer on her beloved Hogs and even quicker to welcome others into her circle of warmth and kindness.

After graduating from Clinton High School, Patsy attended Hendrix College in Conway before returning home to marry the love of her life, Jay W. Jackson. The couple wed on May 21, 1953 at Clinton Methodist Church, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in shared purpose and mutual devotion. Together, they served their community as Publisher and Co-Publisher of the Van Buren County Democrat newspaper for 47 years, shaping and documenting the life of their hometown.

Patsy was deeply involved in civic and social organizations throughout her life. She was a member of the Arkansas Press Association, National Newspaper Association, Clinton Garden Club, Clinton Business and Professional Women, Idle Hour Bridge Club and the Clinton Chamber of Commerce. In recognition of their lasting contributions to local business and community life, she and Jay were honored as Merchants of the Year by the Clinton Chamber of Commerce in 1998.

In 2003, Patsy and Jay moved to Rogers to be closer to family, where she continued to build meaningful friendships and remained active in her church and community.

Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jay W. Jackson and her parents, Harlen and Winnie Johnson Patton.

She is survived by her twin daughters, Janan Jackson Foster and Susan Jackson Keller; her grandchildren, Jennifer Keller Wiens (Dustin) and Matthew Keller and five great-grandchildren, Rhett, Carter and Madilyn Wiens and Ellie and Chandler Keller, all of Rogers. She is also survived by her sister, Jan Patton Warren (Dean) of Wister, Oklahoma, along with many cherished friends who became like family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, AR from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service and burial at Clinton Cemetery.

A second visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Central United Methodist Church in Rogers, AR, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m.

So sorry to hear this. Patsy lived a long good life. She was one of the older of the 13 cousins of the Johnson family and Jan and I are only 2 left. I miss those times back in the day when we went to Grandma Johnson's for Sunday dinner and all of us cousins could get together and have so much fun.
So many good memories ❣️. Jan, I miss you and hope to see you someday. My deepest condolences to you ❤️
Love and Prayers,
Bonnie Tietjen
