October 6, 1951 - June 14, 2025

Douglas Eugene Jones, Sr., 73, of Millington, TN passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025. He was born on October 6, 1951 to Chessie Eugene and Bobbye Faye Jones.

Douglas worked for the Osceola Fire and Police Departments, was a farmer and owned his own business, "Doug's Rebuilders". Douglas served in The United States Navy. He enjoyed spending his free time hunting and fishing.

Douglas is survived by his son, Douglas (Paige) Jones Jr.; grandchildren, Jackson, Dalton and Madison; brothers, Tommy (Sue) Jones, Ricky (Fannie) Jones and Timmy (Cindy) Jones; sisters, Mary (Ronnie) Watson and Sheila (Mark) Moody. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lee Jones and his nephew, Zachary Barnett.

A visitation will be held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with a graveside service following at 2:00 pm at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

He always looked so big and bad, but those of us who were blessed to know him knew the real Big Doug that was always fun to be around and cared about us. Unfortunately I have not seen him or any of my other cousins in quite some time. When the parents/grandparents passed, we didn't do well at staying in touch. Much love and many prayers for Little Doug and the rest of his family and friends.

ricky, tommy and mary, i'm sorry to hear about doug. your home was the neighborhood hangout in the sixties. there were always a game of kick the can every night after dark. doug will always be missed and love by every one who knew him.

Peace be with you all during this bereavement period. I have many fond memories of Doug and all my cousins. We all had a great time growing up together in Osceola.
