of Welcome Home, AR
May 21, 1933 - June 15, 2025
Nola Faye Reves Oliver, age 92 of Welcome Home, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, June 15th, 2025 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. She was born in Woolum, Arkansas on May 21st, 1933 to Johnny Paul Reves and Ressie May Beverage Reves. She met Bobby Andrew Oliver of Imo, Arkansas while both were picking cotton for their families in Oklahoma, and they were married on September 27th, 1953 in Kileen, Texas while Bobby was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.
To this marriage three children were born, Malinda May, Kathy Faye and Johnny Andrew, followed by nine grandchildren - Dac Cash (Brandi), Tracy Cash (Calley), Julie Ragland, Jenny Gray (Josh), Benny Ward (Kati), Hannah Ward, Jerry ''Andy'' Oliver, David Elliott and Brian Elliott (Kati) - and 23 great-grandchildren. When Malinda remarried after the death of her husband, Harold Cash, Nola gained three more grandchildren - Kristy Patterson (Mike), Melissa Weist (Mike) and Matt Morris (Rose) - along with an additional 19 great-grandchildren.
Nola was a Christian, having been baptized into Christ in Bear Creek on September 4th, 1969 and became a member of the Welcome Home Church. She found much comfort and joy in attending services. She held her faith close and remained faithful and firm in her beliefs. While in Highland Court she looked forward to the singing and preaching services when members of the Welcome Home Church congregation would visit. Her family will remember her love for them, her wit, her work ethic, her stubbornness, ''The Look'' that could send chills up your spine and have you looking for a place to hide, her desire to be the best she could be at anything she tried, her heartfelt determination to raise her kids ''right'', and her toughness. Johnny always said ''Our momma is a doodle'' and she was. We are going to miss her.
Surviving Nola and carrying on her memory are her daughter, Malinda May Oliver Cash Morris (Gary) of Marshall and son, Johnny Andrew Oliver (Tina) of Bella Vista; sister, Johnnie Paulette Reves Apperson (Jack) of Russellville; twelve grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and life-long friends.
Nola is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Ressie Reves; her husband of 51 years, Bobby; daughter, Kathy Faye Oliver Ward; grandson, Jerry Andrew ''Andy'' Oliver; brothers, Joseph Reves, Merle Reves, Roger Reves and his wife, Shirlene Reves; sister, Hazel Reves Eggers and her husband, Ray Eggers; three infant sisters: and son-in-law, Harold Gene Cash.
Funeral services for Nola will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 21st, 2025 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Gary Morris and Bro. Andy Treat officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Friday, June 20th, 2025 in the chapel. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in the Chimes community of Van Buren County, Arkansas where Nola will be laid to rest beside her husband, Bobby. Honorary bearers will be Carroll Small, Josh Gray, Jerry Joe Harris, Josh Griffin, James Housley, Brandon Housley, Christian Harrison, Hastin Davis, grandsons, granddaughters and the staff of Highland Court Rehab.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Highland Court for the care, love, concern and patience that was shown to our mother, Deana Caststeel APRN, Brian Blair MD, Roller-Coffman, Flower Gals and the Welcome Home Church.
