Kay (Burleson) Doshier, 84, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on October 4, 1940 in Harrison, Arkansas to the late Joe and Agnes (Richey) Burleson. Kay married Floyd Doshier on May 21, 1958 and together they had three children, Jackie, Tim and Susie. She was a loving wife, mother and nanny; she cherished the time she got to spend with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed going to numerous events to support them. Kay retired from the Marion County Nursing Home in December 2004.
Kay is survived by her son, Jackie (Michelle) Doshier and daughter, Susie (Steve) Martin both of Yellville, Arkansas and her former daughter in law, Lisa Anderson of Green Forest, Arkansas; Grandchildren, Jace (Kate) Doshier of Denver, Colorado, Sara (Seth) Goodwin of Yellville, Arkansas, Lance (Lindsay) Doshier of Tecumseh, Missouri, April Martin, Taylor Wallace and Josie (Blake) Lewis all of Yellville, Arkansas; Great-grandchildren, Caroline and Nora Goodwin and Aurora Doshier, Kyleigh, Teagan and Tucker Lewis and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Doshier; parents, Joe and Agnes Burleson; son, Tim Doshier; seven brothers, Rex, Carl, Burpee, Russel, Berry, Junior and Jim Burleson and two sisters, Floriene Blankenship and Ellen Phillips.
A Graveside service will be held at Wickersham Cemetery on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Kevin Duffy officiating
Serving as pallbearers will be Jace Doshier, Lance Doshier, Seth Goodwin, Blake Lewis, Bill Burleson and Steve Burleson. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Burleson, John Burleson, Troy Burleson, Johnny Burleson, Mike Burleson and Bryan Burleson.
Memorial donations may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital at #1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202
Services in the care of Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.
