John White passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025 with his brother, James by his side, after facing a series of medical challenges with strength and quiet courage.
Born in Shreveport, Louisiana to James and Patricia White, John grew up in both Dallas and St. Louis. From an early age, he exhibited a deep curiosity about the world and a remarkable creative spirit, qualities that would shape his life and passions.
John was a talented musician who spent many years performing in various bands, including Spectre 7, Big Nap and 2 Minutes Hate. His love for music was a defining thread in his life, expressing a unique artistic energy that those who knew him will never forget. He also found joy and fulfillment in photography and had a strong personal interest in physics, always eager to learn more about how the universe works.
Professionally, John traveled extensively across the country while working in a live sound production, a career that matched his love of music and adventure. Later, he served with pride as a Radiologic Technologist at the Veterans Affairs Hospital, where he brought dedication and care to those he served.
John graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) with a Bachelor of Science degree, a testament to his intelligence, perseverance and commitment to excellence.
Above all, John loved his family deeply. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Patricia White; brother, James White and sister-in-law, Leslie White; his nieces and nephew, Matthew White, Rachel King (Brian) and Mary Beth White and his great-niece and great-nephew, Winter King and Conan King. He will be remembered as especially creative, quietly thoughtful and deeply loved.
John's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends and all who shared in his life and music.
Memorial service will be held at the White Water Tavern June 22nd from 3pm-7pm, located at 2500 W 7th Street Little Rock, AR 72205. The family welcomes everyone to join.
