Roger "Ripp" Emil Timm, JrI am a Veteran.

of Little Rock, AR

December 14, 1944 - May 16, 2025

Roger Emil Timm, Jr., 80, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed from this life into God's loving arms on May 16, 2025. Lovingly known as ''Ripp'' to family and friends, he was born on December 14, 1944 in Shawano, Wisconsin to Roger Emil Timm and Adeline Mary Lamb.

After graduating from Shawano Senior High School in 1963, Ripp dedicated himself to service. He proudly served in the Army Reserves and the United States Navy from 1963 to 1969. While in the Navy, he trained as a Journeyman Machinist, serving with distinction until he completed his military service in 1969.

Following his military service, Ripp completed a four-year Machinist Apprenticeship through Giddings and Lewis Machine Tool Company. He enhanced his professional skills as a mechanical engineer at Kimberly Clark from 1972 until his retirement in 2000.

Ripp is survived by his adoring wife, Lois Ann Timm; his daughter, Kimberly Michelle Hines of Little Rock and her husband, Evan; his beloved grandchildren, Aidan Michael Hines, Ellison McKenzie Hines and Gavin Forrest Stewart. He is also survived by his three brothers and three sisters, Fred, Richard, Francis, Mary, Susie and Rosie.

After retirement, Ripp found joy in maintaining a large tract of land in the Ozark National Forest, where he enjoyed hunting, gardening, processing wood from his own sawmill and hosting gatherings for family and friends, delighting them with fresh-made pizza from his brick oven. He was known and adored by all of his community for going above and beyond to care for those less fortunate and those who could not care for themselves.

His most cherished memories were spent with his grandchildren, sharing lessons about appreciating nature and maintaining the homestead. He taught his grandsons how to hunt and fish and helped them craft furniture with skill and patience, instilling in them the value of honesty and hard work. His granddaughter held a special place in his heart, inspiring him to plant a charming, flower-filled garden, despite his typically practical approach to gardening.

In his later years, Ripp fostered a strong relationship with Jesus Christ, reaffirming his faith through Baptism on February 2, 2025 at Chenal Valley Baptist Church. He regarded this as his greatest personal accomplishment.

Ripp's legacy of love, kindness and faith will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. The Timm family would like to give special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and St. Vincent Rehab for their compassionate and professional care throughout his illness and end-of-life care.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 10:30am at Chenal Valley Baptist Church with Allen Morton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Ripp and his family request that donations be made to ACCESS, Inc. supporting the Project SEARCH® Arkansas: ACCESS Initiative, an innovative job training program for adults with developmental disabilities.
