Linda Joan Moore Overman, age 77, of Branson, Missouri passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025 at Point Lookout Nursing and Rehab in Hollister. Born on March 10, 1948 in Harrison, Arkansas, Linda was the daughter of Floyd and Ethel (Davis) Moore and raised by Gene and Donna Davis Reeves.

A woman of deep faith, Linda was an active and cherished member of CrossRoads Community Church. She dedicated her time to the children's ministry, the J.O.Y. Club, funeral dinners and numerous other church activities. She found joy in crocheting and loved sharing her creations with others. She had a successful career in banking and mortgage closing.

Linda is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Marla (Jeff) Cohen of Branson, Missouri; her son, Matt (Jessica) Parton of St. Joe, Arkansas; four grandsons, Josh (Ashley) Parton of Branson, Rhett (Daisy) Parton of Fair Grove, Missouri, Matthew Frazier of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Haden Parton of Omaha, Arkansas and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Dennis Overman; her sister, Madge Reeves; her son, Timothy Parton and her granddaughters, Meghan Frazier and Sophie Parton.


A Memorial Service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Mike Moore officiating.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at Point Lookout Nursing Home for their care.

I grew up with Linda. She was one of my best friends. I spent many sleepovers at her house. She was a devoted Christian. My condolences to her family. She loved you very much. Regretfully due to my health I will be unable to attend her service. Rest in peace my dear friend
