Oneta Merriman White was born on July 15,1930. She lived 94 years, 9 months and 23 days. She was born and raised in Centerville, AR located between Greenbrier and Woolly Hollow State Park. She loved being raised in the country by her loving parents; W.E. ''Eli'' Merriman and Verma Floy Selby Merriman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Linda Merriman Free and her son, Wm. Dennis White (Pat).
She enjoyed telling stories about playing basketball in high school, where she met Gene T. White (her ex-husband and father of all five children). She loved participating in the yearly peace officer's tournament. She earned numerous 1st and 2nd place trophies and gifts.
Oneta never met a stranger. She made many friends while employed at Safeway; she considered many of her customers and colleagues as family.
Ms. White also loved working in her flower beds which were filled with irises of all colors, red, pink and white peonies, daffodils, gardenias, and roses. Many people would stop by to take photos of her flowers, which pleased her immensely.
Her greatest accomplishments and source of pride in her life were her children. She is survived by four children; Her two sons are Dr. Gary White (Joan) of Conway and Tommie White (Sophia) of Conway, and her daughter in law, Pat Penrod White, of Quitman. She is also survived by her two daughters, Genith White Crawford (Ed) of Houston, TX. and her youngest daughter, Cynthia White Craig of Conway.
She leaves behind ten grandchildren, Shannon White (Angie) of Bella Vista, Stuart White (Cindy) of Conway, Spencer White (Kim) of Rogers, Raquel White Nestlehut Dykes ( Robert) of Conway, Justin White (Mistie) of Quitman, Kimberly White Ussery (Jeremy) of Conway, Brian White (Alicia) of Dallas, TX, Pam Crawford Garner White (Todd) of Cypress TX, and Mike Crawford (Jennifer) of Midland TX; honorary grandson, Dan Nestlehut of Quitman, as well as her youngest grandson, Zachary E. Craig, of Conway.
She was a great-grandmother to seventeen and a great-great-grandmother of one. During her lifetime she knew nine generations.
She was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church.
There will be a Funeral Service on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, with a visitation starting one hour prior. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
She was always so kind to me!I enjoyed the talking with her every time I saw her!

I hated to see that Mrs Whites mom passed passed. I loved finding her at church and giving her a hug and briefly chatting. I am sad for her family, she was a special lady and is already b missed.
