of Little Rock, AR
February 21, 1936 - May 4, 2025
Johnny Ray Pierce, age 89, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Bee Branch, Arkansas, to John and Annie Pierce, Johnny lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
He graduated from South Side High School in Bee Branch and married the love of his life, Nancy Privett Pierce, with whom he would have celebrated 68 years of marriage this June. Their story began with a wink across the gym in 7th grade and grew into a lifelong partnership built on faith, laughter, and enduring love.
A devoted Christian, Johnny served as both Deacon and Elder at Arch Street Church of Christ and later at Fairview Park Church of Christ. His life was a testimony to his faith"steadfast, humble, and always in service to others. His church families were as dear to him as his own, and he poured his heart into both his spiritual and everyday communities.
Johnny often reminisced about the hard work of his younger days"bailing hay, raising cows, and riding his horse, Dexter, through the fields of Bee Branch. Those early experiences instilled in him a lifelong love of the land and a solid work ethic, along with a touch of stubbornness that those who knew him came to appreciate and admire.
He spent much of his career as a skilled tool and die maker at Timex, where he was known for his precision, patience, and quiet leadership. After decades of dedicated service, he retired with the respect and friendship of many coworkers. He was a true craftsman, he took pride in doing things the right way-his way, with care and attention to detail.
Johnny was a man of many interests. He enjoyed Bluegrass music, hunting and fishing, and spending time at the family farm"a place that brought him peace and joy. In his younger years, he was an accomplished athlete, remembered fondly for his competitive spirit and sportsmanship.
Above all else, Johnny was a family man. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Nancy, and four children and their spouses: Keith Pierce (Stacy), Jane Luallen (John), Kirk Pierce (Laura), and Kerry Pierce (Kerrie Anne). He was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Wheeler and Norma Sams, and sister-in-law, Faye Pierce. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Caitlin Johnson, whom he loved dearly and whose memory he carried close to his heart, and by his siblings, Fairel Pierce, Jeff Pierce, Roy Pierce, Annie Kennedy, Elvie Pierce, Clio Wheeler, and Lois Sneed.
Johnny loved deeply, led with strength and conviction, and left a legacy of kindness, grit, and faith that will live on in the stories, memories, and hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation will be at 1:00pm, Thursday, May 8, 2025, with funeral services following at 2:00pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Burial will be at Bee Branch Cemetery, Bee Branch, AR.

I am so saddened to hear of Johnnys passing. My heart truly goes out to all the Pierce family. It is never easy to lose a loved one no matter the reason but you rest assured he is rejoicing again with his Savior and Father in Heaven. My prayers are with you all.
So sorry to hear of this. He was a good man, and I still remember those music shows at the farm in Bee Branch!
My condolences to all the Pierce family.
I have many fond memories of being with the Pierce family growing up and seeing them through the years. Bro. Johnny was a solid dedicated patriarch, husband and brother in Christ. He and sis Nancy kindly and generously helped my husband David and I after his wreck and I know that was something done for many others through the years. Praying for peace and comfort from above for the Pierce family. Love you all!
Kerry, we are so sorry for the loss of your father. He sounds like a wonderful Christian and a man we would have been blessed to know. Prayers for comfort and peace for you and your precious family.
Art and I feel privileged to have known and worshipped with Johnny for so many years. It was wonderful to witness his great love for his Nancy. In addition to his own children and grandchildren, he played the role of surrogate father and grandfather to so many others in his church family. All our love to the entire Piece family. Art and Rene
So sorry for your loss Kerry, my deepest condolences to your family 🙏
I am so sorry to hear about Mr Johnny. Going to services at Fairview for several years, he was always smiling and had a kind word. Nancy you and the whole family are in my thoughts and prayers. I know he will be greatly missed.
Kirk, I am sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. You all will be in my thoughts, and I pray for peace and comfort in the days ahead.
It’s hard for me to put in words how I feel about Johnny. He was a devout husband, a dedicated Christian and about elder. It didn’t matter who you were when you walked in the building you were greeted by Johnny as someone he had known all his life. Lawrence Church will miss him for his dedication, his humanity and his honesty. I have mixed feelings about this passing, while those of us who knew him wish he will stay here to provide encouragement, and of course his family misses him so badly but he is now awaiting that great day and while we’re sad for the family, we know that Johnny is at peace. God bless you all
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this very difficult time.
