Susan Wepprecht

of Mountain Home, AR

January 20, 1959 - May 2, 2025

Ms. Susan 'Sue' Elaine Wepprecht was born in Kankakee, Illinois on January 20, 1959. After a long battle with cancer, the Lord called Sue home on May 2, 2025.

Sue grew up in Herscher, Illinois, where she gained many lifelong friends in the school marching band. In 1979, Sue and her family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where she attended nursing school and became an RN. She worked with children in hospitals and many doctors' offices in the Scottsdale and Tucson areas. She had her daughter, Elizabeth, in 1994 and moved to the Mountain Home, Arkansas area with her daughter's father, Ron, in 1999. There, she worked in more doctors' offices and hospitals to help children. Sue finally found her true passion in 2011, becoming a school nurse. This was her true calling and each child who entered her office can attest to that. In this role, she was a nurse, counselor, friend, stern voice and a mother to all she met. This was where she earned the 2023 Arkansas School Nurse of the Year award. Nurse Sue was trying her best to fight to get to graduation in 2025.

Sue was blessed to have a close family that loved her and many family members on her daughter's married side adopted her as their own. She is preceded in death by many loving family members, including her parents, Doris and Kenneth Wepprecht. She is survived by her brother, Mark (Mary) Wepprecht and her sister Judy (Rick) Edmondson both of Scottsdale, Arizona. She is also survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Douglas) Trader and two granddaughters, Natalie and an unborn baby girl of Springfield, Missouri. The light of her life was her granddaughter, Natalie. Sue also has four dear nephews, Kenny, Ricky, Matthew and Michael all of Scottsdale, Arizona.

There will simply never be another Mom. She was kind and caring to all those who met her and absolutely loved her kids at the high school. A Memorial Service will be held on July 12, 2025 at Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home, Arkansas from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Thank you for being my loving mother and GO BLACKHAWKS!

I was so fortunate to get to work with Nurse Sue at Pinkston. I had no idea that it was her first year as a school nurse. She was so sweet to the students in special education. I remember while walking in the halls she would say hi to every student by name. She was an angel on Earth.

To my beautiful sweet forever friend. I will miss you terribly but I am so glad that you have been set free from pain and are now whole again. I was so blessed to have had you in my life for 14 amazing years. You fought with all your heart and you now deserve to rest. Thank you so much for letting me know you made it to where you were going. I was blessed with the sign of not one but five penguins to let me know that you were entering the gates of heaven and that God had you. Until we meet again my friend please rest in peace. I love you.

To Elizabeth, Doug, Natalie, baby girl, and family, there will be no other Nurse Sue like your momma. She was a caring, giving, kind woman. May God wrap his arms around you all and give you much peace.

My deepest condolences to Lizzie and the whole family. Miss Sue was so kind and loving. I will always remember her looking out for me like I was one of her own when I was in high school. She even baked me cookies and sent them with Lizzie after I had surgery one summer. She will be deeply missed. Rest in Peace, Mama Sue!

I have lost my big sister and my heart is broken. We had the best time rocking out in the hospital, and I have such comfort in having had that time. I'm so glad I got to spend those last days with you, and I know you are free from that terrible pain. I have already had signs from you, and I know you will watch over all of us. It's just so hard to believe you are gone- and I have picked up my phone several times to text you something. You fought a hard fight and you deserve to dance with Jesus and our parents and all those who went before. I love you so much Sue- and like your message to me said- "I'll see you on the other side." Rest easy sister.
Love Judy

My deepest condolences to Lizzie and her family. Losing a parent is one of the most difficult things to go through.

I remember Ms. Sue fondly as a "Band Mom." She came on so many of our trips and was always in the stands, smiling and cheering us on. She was a wonderful person.

Try and remember as you're working through the grief that it wouldn't be so painful if there wasn't so much love there. Please take care. <3

To a true friend whom I will miss. We shared thoughts, memories of our grandchildren, and help about problems in our life. To the family of Sue. Know she is not suffering and she at peace within the lord's hands. Her school friends will miss a true friend, helper to the kids, and staff.

Oh Lizzie. I am so sorry to hear that your mom has passed. I will truly miss her. She was a a beautiful person. I will miss her little gifties of food and hand crafted items. The Christmas ornaments she made me are so pre ious to me. She was someone that made the world a better place. And oh how she loved you! You were the light in her eyes and the song in her heart. When I found out she was sick again it broke my heart but I was gladdedned to know she was with you. I am so happy that her last weeks were with you. She wouldn't have had it any other way. Please know that there are many of us that share your grief. Your mom will be missed. The gift of her friendship will remain though. She will never be forgotten.
