Freddie J Beckham, 83, of Millington, TN, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025. Freddie was born in Savannah, TN, to Katherine and James Beckham on November 12, 1941. Freddie was one of 8 children; he had 7 siblings- 3 brothers and 4 sisters. He went to school at Jeter School, where he dropped out in the 6th grade to help take care of his family working on the farm; he continued farming until 1996, when he left farming and went to work for Shelby County Road & Bridges, where he retired in 2008.

Freddie was at a cookout at his neighbor's house in 1952, where he met his loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn LaComb Beckham. Freddie and Carolyn were married in Ripley, TN, on July 14, 1966.

Throughout his time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, cookouts, and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping on the Mississippi River every weekend,d but especially enjoyed riding around with his loving wife, Carolyn.

Freddie is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Beckham (Millington TN), 3 children, Freddie (Bubba) Beckham, Rita Leopard, and Linda Taylor. 5 Grandchildren, Christopher Edge, Roy Duane Taylor, Joshua Edge, Rhonda (Taylor) Kidd, Justin Shurtz, and Joseph Shurtz. 6 Great Grandkids, Alyssa Taylor, Stella Shurtz, Anthony Edge, William Edge, Eric Edge and Asher Dale Hendrix. 1 brother, Billy Joe Beckham. 2 Sisters, Brenda Oxyodine and Mary Cullum.

Freddie is preceded in death by his parents, James and Katherine Beckham, brothers, Jim Edward Beckham and Charles Beckham, and 2 sisters, Doris Parlier and Martha High.

Daddy I love you, and miss you so much, I couldn’t ask for a better daddy, and if I had to go through life all over again I would want you as daddy again, for you made my life so rich in love.. I love you and RIP fly high daddy until we can be together again someday, I’m ready now but the good lord has to be ready for us, the day he broke our hearts and took the strongest man that was never going to die, he took you home on April 23 2025, our hearts are bleeding but your light will ALWAYS shine bright in my heart.. GONE BUT WILL NEVER BE FORGOT. RIP FLY HIGH DADDY FLY HIGH!!!!
