August 2, 1941 - April 19, 2025
Mrs. Mary Lou Douglas, 83, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025, in Mountain Home. She was born on August 2, 1941, in Mountain Home to Ira and Ruby (Dutton) Mitchell. She was married to Bryan Douglas for 47 years. She was a member of the Christian Church of Mountain Home, a 14-year retiree of Stichco, and an 11-year employee of Baxter Lab.
Mary was very involved with the church as a custodian, volunteering at church events, participating in the ladies' Bible studies, and outside the church was a caretaker of several cemeteries. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, and yard sales, but especially loved spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very caring person who was always ready to take care of someone in need, whether that be helping financially or just needing a meal, she was there.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, of 21 years, Dale Bradley, her parents, and one grandson.
The family would like to wish a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Hospice of the Ozarks and Hospice House for the love and care they gave to Mary.
A visitation will be held between 12-1:00pm on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Christian Church of Mountain Home with a memorial service to follow. Inurnment will be at Douglas Cemetery.

Wayne, Tena, Melissa, and Allen, I’m so sorry for your loss. I have so many fond memories of growing up in mtn home with y’all. You were one of the first friends when we moved to mtn home. Your mom was one of the best. I can still remember her smile and laugh. All my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
Mary was a wonderful person and though I didn’t know her well I found her to be a kind and giving person and a good neighbor. I will miss her. Rest in peace, Mary.
Words are hard to find right now for the loss of this beautiful soul. She has meant so much to me and I'm so thankful for the time we spent together. She will forever be in my heart. She went from this world exactly the way she wanted too. We just discussed this not long ago. My heart goes out to all the family. She was a very special person. I will miss her so very much as I know all of you will. God Bless her for all she did for others. May she rest in peace.
