Mary Elizabeth Nelson, 78, of Quitman, Arkansas passed away peacefully at her home on April 1, 2025. Mary was born on January 30, 1947 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Julius and Mary (Kirby) Robison. Mary loved the Lord and was a member of Timbo Valley Assembly of God Church in Timbo, Arkansas. Mary enjoyed reading, puzzles and taking care of her cats; she will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

Mary is survived by her two children: son, William E. Nelson, Jr. of Timbo, Arkansas and her daughter, Katharine Michelle Blake and husband, Charles of Quitman, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Matthew A. Nelson, Adam C. Nelson, Hannah Michelle Johnson and Devan Conrad Blake; six great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Mary (Kirby) Robison and her husband, William E. Nelson, Sr.

A service was held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 11:00AM at Pordue Cemetery in Onia, Arkansas with Brother David Campbell officiating.

Mary was laid to rest next to her beloved husband, William E. Nelson, Sr.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Nelson wasn't just my best friend Hannah's "nanny" she was my nanny too! I have many fond memories of her and loved her dearly. She had a great sense of humor and such a loving personality. I send my deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers to her family during this time. I love you all.
