Anthony ''Tony'' Geels, 88, of Scranton passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 in Russellville.

Tony was born June 13, 1935 in Scranton, Arkansas to his parents, Joe & Cecilia (Wewers) Geels. Tony married his wife of forty-five years, Carol (Lively) Geels, on November 4, 1978 at Morrison Bluff, Arkansas. Tony worked several construction jobs, including working on the bridge connecting Morrison Bluff to Clarksville. He retired from the Arkansas Charcoal company after working for several years. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Morrison Bluff, the Men's Society of Morrison Bluff, the Knights of Columbus in Clarksville and the Cattlemen's Association. Tony was an accomplished gardener and cattleman. He especially enjoyed growing roses and sharing his produce with friends and family. Tony was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Arkansas Razorback fan. Tony loved spending time with his family, especially the grandkids, nieces and nephews. He would take them for a ride on his tractor or in his 1954 Chevy truck ''Old Blue'' that he had fixed up and restored. Tony attended mass almost daily until his heart started to fail. He always kept his rosary in his pocket, he was a model of faith in God. Tony was a kind and gentle man who was always willing to help others who were in need.

In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl White; a sister, Evelyn Wofford; brother-in-law, John Needham and father and mother-in-law, Thurman & Cecilia Lively.

He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Carol Geels of Scranton, Arkansas; two daughters, Michelle ''Chel'' Rattray and husband, Scott of Nashville, Tennessee and Tarrie Boggs of Little Rock, Arkansas; three sisters, Lona Seiter and husband, Ed of Fort Smith, Arkansas, JoAnn Brandow and husband, Erol of Appleton, Wisconsin and Marie Needham of Russellville, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Kayla Breum and husband, Eric, Kaitlyn Holt and husband, Tyler, Cameron Rattray, Brandon Boggs, Kara White, Brianna Boggs and Shannon Rattray; one great-grandchild, Everlyn Holt and several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 6:30-7:30P.M. followed by a rosary at 7:30 P.M. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Morrison Bluff.
Funeral mass will be Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church at Morrison Bluff officiated by Fr. John Miranda and Fr. William Wewers with burial following the service in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dennis White, Donnie Siebenmorgan, Randy Siebenmorgan, Art Fanning, Brandon Boggs and Cameron Rattray.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kayla Breum, Kaitlyn Holt, Kara White, Brianna Boggs and Shannon Rattray.

Funeral service and arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
