James "Larry" Thompson, 70, of Benton passed away on February 15, 2024. He was born on September 30,1953 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Carl James and Esther E. (Parsons) Thompson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Doug and Dwight Thompson.

James was a member of New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from the Arkansas Department of Transportation as a Station Attendant.

Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Diana (Hayes) Thompson; two daughters, Viola Hobby (Jeromy), Carrie Pendergrass; granddaughter, Caitlyn Pendergrass; sister-in-law, Paula Thompson; other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 19, 2024 at New Friendship Cemetery with Bro. Kirby Caple officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Road, Benton, AR 72015 (501)315-0700.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Terry Hayes, Blake Hayes, Jody Caple, Phillip Hayes, Leonard Ramsey, Jeromy Hobby and Phillip Koch.
