August 1, 1950 - February 9, 2024

William Aaron Higdon, 73, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024. He was born August 1, 1950 in Bay, AR to Aaron I. and Ruth A. Higdon. William was a minister at the Alsup Pentecostal Church. He also owned his own business, called William's Vending, where he was known as the "drink man". When he wasn't working, William was outdoors hunting, fishing and horseback riding.

William was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Charles Allen and his sister-in-law, Charolette Higdon.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Sandy Higdon; daughters, Angela (Kai) Robert, Amy (Lynn) Meredith, Stormie (Marcus) Swan; grandchildren, Courtney Putnam, Destany Meredith, Noah Meredith, Ashlyn Meredith, Kori Swan, Allen Swan, Almedia Swan, Michael Swan, Kaylyn Swan and 1 more on the way; brothers, Marvin Higdon and Johnny Higdon and sisters, Frances Allen, Martha (Jimmy) Martin and Mary (Jimmy) Pagan.

A visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 10:00am at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home. Interment will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

I’m sorry for William’s death and offer my condolences to the family. I knew him as Wig while growing up. It sounds like he had a full life with many family members around him.
Gertrude’s youngest son Lester Sullivan.
