Mr. George David Klodzen, 91, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024. He was born June 17, 1932 in Gary, Indiana to Steven and Emma (Werdun) Klodzen.
George was the 11th of 13 children, he graduated from high school in 1951 and entered the US Army in January of 1954 and served until he was honorably discharged in January of 1956.
He was a sheet metal fabricator both in Indiana and in Denver until he retired. George loved to fish, making many of his own lures and an annual fishing trip to Canada was the highlight of his year. He also loved to dance the polka and he said polka music always made him happy. He moved to Mountain Home in the 2000's and continued his love of fishing on Lake Norfork.
George is survived by one sister, Irene Lewandoski of Gary, Indiana and one brother who resides in Florida.
George was very dedicated to his Catholic faith and daily mass, rosary and the stations of the cross were a part of his daily routine at St. Peter the Fisherman Church.
A memorial mass for Mr. Klodzen will be 10:00 AM February 17th at St. Peter the Fisherman Church in Mountain Home.
