Jim was born February 28, 1934 to the late Marion and Bessie Jordan Fagan. Jim was an Army veteran, heavy equipment operator and retired from the Little Rock Port Authority Railroad. Jim enjoyed his leisure time camping and fishing on Lake Ouachita. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Tuffy Fagan and his wife of 60 years, Mary Ellen Shelby Fagan.
Survivors include two sons, Shelby T. Fagan and wife, Tara of Benton; Wesley D. Fagan and wife, Sherri of Clarksville, Tennessee; one daughter, Lori L. Fagan of New York and partner Robert Villodas; eight grandchildren, Emma Kuster; Dr. Anna Fagan, Sarah Berry, Lindsey Montano, Eric Fagan, Peyton Sherman, Chas Sherman and Shelby Sherman; four great-grandchildren, Lucas Montano, Reyna Montano, Thomas Berry and Ella Berry and one sister, Mary Lee Meatheany of Russellville.
The family will have a private graveside service with Bro. Marcus Blakley officiating

Grandpa was a kind man, served his country and family, and was someone who never quit. Even as he got older and things got harder to do, you’d still find him doing things like chopping wood by hand. I will hold close the memories I have from when I was growing up, when we played in the garden and the backyard. He will be missed. Love you grandpa!
