OPAL CORENE OSBORN
Tuesday, January 23, 2024
Opal Corene Osborn, Mother, Grandmother, Wife, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, was born on December 5, 1931, in Logan County, Arkansas, in the shadow of Magazine Mountain with her four siblings. A loyal and loving servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, she passed on from this life on January 23, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to enjoy blessed eternity in Heaven. She was 92.
Corene Robertson united in marriage with William H. Osborn in Yuma, Arizona, in 1948, but not before he had to ask her father's blessing.
Corene was a hard worker, working at the glass factory in Jonesboro where she lived for many years. She moved to her Mountain Home and then later retired from Baxter Lab in 2003. Always a homemaker as well, she took great pleasure in doing housework, and when she could get away with it, light yard work, into her nineties. All this exemplified her great and generous love for her family.
She started most days with coffee, a cookie, and the newspaper. She enjoyed being outside in nature, favoring flowers, pets, and wildlife.
Corene created and embodied positivity and happiness, laughing often. Her smile and sparkle lit up the room wherever she was, reflecting the light and love of Jesus Christ. A Christian woman of strong faith, she found joy in gospel music and hearing the Word of the Lord from the Bible. She prayerfully lifted up her loved ones every day.
Corene was preceded in passing by her parents, E.R. ''Pete'' Robertson and Audie Cox-Robertson; her lifetime husband; and siblings, brother Leon Finney Robertson (survived by Ramona), and sister Floy Douthit (Thomas Douthit; Dean Spratlin).
Corene is survived by her siblings, brother Earl Augustine Robertson (Marie), and sister Lorene Bell, formerly Reed (Buddy Reed; W.G. Bell), and two children, Shirlene Stone (Randall) of Mountain Home, and Lewis Osborn (Cheryl) of Paragould, and two grandsons, Matt Stone, Esquire, of Mountain Home, and Derek Osborn (Brittney) of Jonesboro, and many loving relatives and friends.
A family graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Grissard Cemetery in El Paso, Arkansas, at 2 P.M., with Reverend David Riley officiating. Roller Funeral Home (Mountain Home) is handling the arrangements.

Corene was such a precious friend to me and Roger. I have know her and her family since they moved to Jonesboro, AR.
She was like a second Mom to me.
Her daughter. Shirlene and I have know each other starting out at East Elementary school. We may not be blood but we are sisters. I have also know Lewis, her brother, he is like a little brother to me.
Corene loved her family so much. Her Grandsons were everything to her. They brought so much joy to her. She was such a Christian lady. I know she led so many to the Lord. We are going to miss her so much on this earth. Heaven is a sweeter place to be now that Corene is their.
She will always live in my heart. I am a better person for knowing and loving her. My love and Prayers are with this Beautiful, Precious family.

Corene was a very kind and sweet person. I worked with Corene at Baxter Laboratories for quite some time. After we both retired we would often meet in Walmart and have a little visit. She was such a delightful person and had a daughter very much like her. I pray for her family because I know she will be greatly missed. Lots of Love for you all!
