Rudail Ragland

of Marshall, AR

December 13, 1940 - January 22, 2024

Rudail Ragland, age 83, of Marshall, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 22nd, 2024. He was born in Long Creek, Arkansas on December 13th, 1940 to Elmer Rosh Ragland and Mamie Henry Ragland. He met the love of his life, Charlotte Phillips when he was 17 years old and they were married for 64 years.

Rudail was saved, baptized and became a member of the First Baptist Church in Leslie, Arkansas in 1958. He had a kind heart and a giving spirit about him that offered many opportunities to meet new people because ''he never met a stranger''. Rudail's family and friends will remember his quick wit and his ability to tell funny stories about his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandkids, sons, brothers and friends. He cherished the time that he spent with family, especially his grandchildren. Rudail spent over half of his life working in the timber industry, where he cut timber and ran a sawmill. He also grew tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries and blackberries for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Phillips Ragland of the home; his children, Kevin Ragland (Kim) of Greenbrier, Greg Ragland (Shawn) of Marshall and Karen McGill of Batesville; grandchildren, Brandon Ragland, Zack McGill, Ashley Walker, Julia Lee McGill, Adam Ragland, Grant Ragland, Jeremiah McGill and Isaac Ragland; great-grandson, Logan McGill; siblings, Melvin Ragland (Carol), Harrel Ragland, Marvin Ragland (Beverly), Dean Lawrence (Michael), Kathy Morrison (Eddie), Roger Ragland (Sherri) and Bill Ragland (Cindy); sister-in-law, Roylee Ragland and many extended family and friends.

Rudail is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mamie Ragland; brother, Farrel Ragland and infant brother, Bendle Ragland and son-in-law, Ned McGill.

Graveside services for Rudail will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 29th, 2024 at Red Hill Cemetery near Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Gary Ragland and Bro. Junior Barham officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 till 4:00 PM Saturday, January 27th, 2024 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas. Burial will follow the graveside service. Bearers will be Ethan Ragland, Logan Boyd, Jason Ragland, Bradley Ragland, Halen Harris and Jake Ragland. Honorary bearers will be Brandon Ragland, Zack McGill, Ashley Walker, Julia Lee McGill, Adam Ragland, Grant Ragland, Jeremiah McGill, Isaac Ragland and Logan McGill

Rudail is my Brother, and we all love him so very much. This is such a shock to our family, we just can’t imagine our lives without him in it . He was a good Christian man , and we know that he is home with the Lord. That is the main thing in this life is to be prepared for eternity, because we never know when the Lord is going to call us home.
To Charolett, and family we love you all so very much, and if you need us just call us .
