Grace Irene Joan Lusty

of Vilonia, AR

December 24, 1930 - December 18, 2023

Grace Irene Joan Lusty from Vilonia, Arkansas went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 18, 2023. She was born December 24, 1930 in Watson, Illinois to Joseph Olin Bear and Grace Wilma Stephens Bear.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Lusty; her sisters, Betty Little and Wanda Young; and her son Richard Lusty.

She is survived by her four children: Marsha Woodward, Raymond Lusty, Robert Lusty (Susan), and Rebecca Meyer (Tom); seven grandchildren: Steven Woodward (Jessika), Shawna Morin (Joe), Amanda Cowan, (Skip), David Meyer, Daniel Meyer (Ashley), Christin Pelaez (Uriel); Robert Lusty, Jr; seven great grandchildren: Alexis Dal Pont (Daniel), Steven Woodward, Jr, Ryan, Ashley and Joey Morin; Sara Cowan and Nathan Pelaez; and one great-great granddaughter, Cambria Grace Dal Pont.

Grace spent her childhood in Illinois. At 15 she moved to Los Angeles, California where several years later she met and married her husband, Raymond Lusty. Within a few years of their marriage, they moved to a new home in Norwalk, California to raise their family.

Grace loved reading her Bible and faithfully took her children to Church and Sunday School. It was important to her to instill in her children a love and faith in Jesus Christ and His Word.

She delighted in serving the Lord in any way she could throughout her life. She taught Sunday School and while her children were younger, she served in the Bus and Youth Group Ministries. In later years she enjoyed serving in Rest Homes, Missions and Jail Ministries too.

While raising her family in California, she had a dream. She hoped one day to move to Arkansas, where her husband's family lived, and build a mobile home park. Once her children were all grown, she purchased property in Vilonia, Arkansas. Soon her dream became a reality; her mobile home park had begun. In 1993 she moved to Vilonia and lived there permanently.

Visitation will be held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, AR from 6pm-8pm on Friday, January 12, 2024. Funeral service will be held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway at 1pm on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Interment will follow immediately after at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway, AR.
