Virgil Doyle Ott Jr., age 91, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023 in Yellville.

Virgil was born July 1, 1932 in Yellville to Virgil Doyle and Edith Emily (James) Ott, Sr. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Yellville. We was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Ott and Mr. Richards started Rich Logistics Trucking Company in Little Rock. He then served as General Manager for many years. He and the Hudspeth's of Harrison built the Holiday Inn in Mountain Home. He became the General Manager after construction was finished. Mr. Ott was the innkeeper of the Holiday Inn in Harrison prior to that.

Virgil is survived by his wife, Doris Ott of Bryant; his daughters, Letha Mahan (Rick) of Gassville, Sheryl Drobny (Marion) of Ellijay, Georgia; his stepdaughter, Terri Ellis of Bryant, Arkansas; his stepson, Tony Tanner (Rhonda) of Bryant; his brother, Bobby Joe Ott (Sue) of Yellville; his grandchildren, Brook Mahan, Benji Mahan, Ashley Whitworth, Carter Tanner, Baily Tanner, Shana Offutt, Brandi Ellis, Dakota Hill, Tyler Hill and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Teresa Jo Ott; his stepdaughter, Tamara Hill; his grandson, Brandon Ellis and his great-grandson, B.J. Ellis.

Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Friday, November 24, 2023 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with Bro. Jack Jefferson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brook Mahan, Benji Mahan, Shannon Everett, Marion Drobny, Rick Mahan and Tad Ott.

Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church.

We were so sorry to hear about Virgil's passing. He loved the Lord and being involved in the Lord's work. When I served as his pastor, he was always a great supporter and encourager to me.
