of North Little Rock, AR

January 31, 1934 - November 14, 2023

Jimmy D. Kendrick, 89, of North Little Rock went to be with our Lord and his wife, Jerry, on November 14, 2023. He was born January 31, 1934 to Don and Ida Kendrick in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Jimmy graduated college in 1957 from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and worked as a Civil Engineer until 1990. He worked from the design of the foundations to the completed construction of all the dams to make the Arkansas River navigable. This project was known as the McCelland Kerr Navigation System. He built Fire Stations, Churches and did work on Robinson Auditorium with his brother and his father, Don, owner of Kendrick Construction Company of North Little Rock.

Jimmy was a devout Christian who never wavered in his faith. He always supported his church as a Deacon and tithed on his gross and never his net income. He will be missed by everyone who knew him, but especially his family. He is with the loves of his life, Jesus and Jerry his wife of 60 years.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Lee Kendrick of Mabelvale; his grandson, Brandon Kendrick of Mabelvale; his granddaughter, Ashlee Henderson (Stephen) of Searcy; his two great-grandsons, Atticus Henderson also of Searcy and Jesse Wayne of Yellville and all of his family.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 19th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and funeral services Monday, November 20th at 11:00 a.m. both at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park.

I was so sorry to see that your father died. He was a part of my growing up at Pike Avenue Baptist Church and a good friend to my parents, Claude and Evelyn Eubank. He was such a good man. It is impossible to think about him without thinking about Jerry and what a great love they shared. He was a great example of a life of faith. I know you will miss him.

Sincerely,
Elaine Eubank

Jim was my Sunday school teacher. He and Jerry came to numerous Christmas parties at our house. We loved them both. No finer people than the Kendricks.
