Vicki Anita Lee

of Little Rock, AR

October 28, 1949 - November 2, 2023

Vicki Anita Lee, 74, went home to be with her Lord on November 2, 2023. She was born on October 28, 1949 in Denver, CO to L.T. and Venita Jones. After spending most of her childhood years in Texas, her family moved to Little Rock when she was in elementary school and she has been here ever since. Vicki was a cheerleader at McClellan High School and was active with student council and the debate team. She earned a degree in education from Arkansas State University and began her teaching career shortly after. Vicki taught physical education at Mabelvale Junior High for 14 years and was also the Raiderette drill team sponsor.

Vicki and Gary met at a church singles fellowship and were wed 8 short years later in June of 1982. Together, they raised two daughters, Kristi and Lori. Vicki actively served alongside Gary in their Sunday School class for nearly 40 years at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. She consistently used her many talents to minister to those around her. Whether she was hosting church fellowships at her home, decorating the church building for Christmas, directing drama for Kingdom performances or arranging flowers for church events, baby or wedding showers, she had no shortage of gifts to offer. Starting in the late 1980s, she led a step aerobics class two evenings a week at the church and did so up until just a few months ago. Even when she became too weak to participate herself, she still wanted to go and call the steps from a chair. This class was not only an outlet for physical fitness, but the "prayer and share" time with these dear friends was what she cherished the most.

Vicki was an avid Razorback football fan, a love that she and Gary both shared. In her spare time, she loved to work in her yard - picking up every stick and trimming every shrub. "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right," she would say. She did NOTHING without music playing in the background and could regularly be caught tap dancing or line dancing around her home. Her love of music was one that she passed down to Kristi and Lori as well.

Vicki was her happiest with her family. Just like she was present at her own daughters' games, recitals or performances, she loved to attend her grandkids' events as much as she was able. She stated often how proud she was of them. Vicki was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; her parents and her brother, Terry Jones. She is survived by her daughters, Kristi Furr & Lori Holbert; two sons-in-law, Joey Furr & Trevor Holbert; four grandchildren, Jordan & Kameron Furr and Lee & Rhett Holbert all of Little Rock; as well as two sisters, Jean Jones & Georgia Kendrick and a niece, Kelly Kendrick all of Flint, TX; as well as other extended family.

Funeral Service will be 10:00am Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in Sanders Hall of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, with Pastors Dave Hughey and Paul Sanders officiating. Visitation will be 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday at the church. Burial will be 12:00pm Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.

My sincere condolences to Vicki's family. Vicki and I were cheerleaders at Mabelvale HS before we went to McClellan HS. I was so glad I got to see her at one of our class reunions. I'm too far away now, or I would have attended her funeral service. I'll be thinking of you all during this time. Etta

Lori, I loved your Mom. I am so so sorry to hear this news. She had a huge impact on me when I was newly married. I have the best memories of her leading us in step aerobics to MC Hammer. She had more energy than all of us put together! Your mom was also one of my biggest prayer warriors. I'd love to know how many little spiral notebooks full of prayer requests she filled up over the years. She was one of a kind and I'm so thankful to have known her. Please feel my hug.

I will always think of Vicki at Christmas time. She worked tirelessly getting the church decorated and ready for the season. She had an ease about her and she was always interested in others. She loved the Lord and people and it showed.

I met Vicki and Gary when our son, Joey, and their daughter, Kristi, married. It took only a short time to see that we were truly blessed not only in our son’s choice of a wife, but also in her wonderful parents. Both were servants of the Lord. They walked the walk and were true examples of what Christians should be. I am sorry that both of them are gone from this world, but thankful that they are now where we are promised to be. Rest in peace Vicki. You will be missed.

I've known Vicki since 8th grade, when I was so very honored to be one of her outstanding Raiderette members! I absolutely loved being a part of her group - so much that I kept all of my Raiderette uniform pieces and photos, and I will always treasure them. She taught us to be the best version of ourselves that we could be, while also setting such a strong Christian example for a group of teenage girls who really needed that in their lives. I've been so blessed to continue to have her in my life over the past 40 years, mainly due to attending church together. She was such a strong servant for her Lord, and everything she did for Jesus was with a thankful heart. She was just one of those extra special people who touched so many lives so deeply! I will miss her hugs every Sunday (oh, how I will miss them!), along with her sweet smile! My heart is absolutely broken, but I am so thankful she has been healed and is now reunited with Gary, her soul mate, and they are both worshipping at the feet of Jesus! I look forward to seeing both of them again someday. Kristi & Lori: The Lord will provide you the strength and comfort you need in the coming days. May you find peace in your sweet memories of your Mom!

Prayers for the family during this difficult time.
I am now 60 years old and to this day love and admire this lady. I had the opportunity to tell her a few years back what an impact she had on my life. She was such a Beauty inside and out!
An inspiration to myself and so many others.
As our Raiderette Coach, she not only drilled us to perfection, (oh how I still remember)
she nurtured, and molded us into responsible adults.
So much Respect and admiration for her. She was tough on us girls; but fair and loved each of us. She set the bar high AND helped us achieve our goals. We dont see much of this anymore.
RIP and LOVE
"Ms Green" ~ you will never be forgotten!

To Vicki's family. I worked with Vicki at Mabelvale Jr from 1974 to 76. She was always happy and fun to be around. All the coaches teased her and she tease back with best them. But, we all respected her for her caring she had for everyone. I'm sad for her passing but I know she's the happiest she's every been now she's with our Lord and Savior.

Vicky was truly an inspiration to me. She was always gracious and kind to all she came in contact with. She was so welcoming to us when we first came to Geyer Springs and joined the Sunday School Class that we felt at home immediately . Vicky loved the Lord and had a tender heart for those she knew did not know Jesus. Her life has been an example to all who knew her. She will be missed.

I am so sad to hear that Mrs Vicki Lee has passed. Mrs. Lee was one of the strongest influences in my life. She was the best drill team sponsor in the state in the 1970’s and 80’s. As a Raiderette, she expected the best and pull it out of each member. I have ran into her many times over the last 30 years, she always remember me with a smile and kind words. I was amazed that she never aged.

Prayers for Kristi, her sister and the entire family. She is reunited with her husband. RIP Mrs. Green.

Vicki was a true example of servant hood. As she served her family, her church and her Lord so faithfully. The many physical challenges that she endured never stopped her from her desire to serve and help others. I watched her faithfully stand by Gary through thick and thin, and was amazed at her spiritual strengths. I will miss this wonderful woman.
