Shawn Avery Ezell, 51, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 in Russellville, Arkansas. He was born on December 10, 1971 in Booneville, Arkansas to his parents, Billy Joe Ezell and Pattye (Sullivan) Ezell.
Shawn was a poultry and cattle farmer, a former Farm Credit committee member and attended Harmony Assembly of God in Paris. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his friends and family, but his most cherished life accomplishment was becoming a grandpa.
He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Ezell and his grandparents, Arch and Tommie Sullivan and Russell and Lila Ezell.
He is survived by his mother, Pattye Ezell of Paris; one daughter, Loranne Ezell of Paris; three sons, Granger Ezell of Paris, Matthew Ezell and wife, Alanna of Paris and Kolton Jones and wife, Lauren of Paris; a special young man he considered a son, Damian Hill of Driggs; one sister, Sabrina Johnston and husband, Bo of Elk City, Oklahoma; one step sister, Magean Warnock of Little Rock; one nephew, Brandon Marriott of Elk City, Oklahoma and two grandchildren, Leighton Avery Ezell and Drake Jones.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Tammy Frederick. Burial will follow in Baxley Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Ezell, Granger Ezell, Damian Hill, Kolton Jones, Jared Patterson, Tom Davis, Jimmy Davis and Shawn Michael O'Kelley.
If anyone wishes to meet with the family other than at the scheduled services they will be gathered at his mother, Pattye's house on Vine Street in Paris.

Pattie.. I’m so very sorry to hear about Shawn? I can’t even wrap my head around what you’re going through? He was a great kid!! You poured your heart and soul into that young man and he was so loved by so many!! I’ve prayed for you and the rest of the family, to be comforted by our Father Almighty and wrapped tightly in the Eternal Arms of Jesus! I still think of you often and the effect you and Bill had on me when I had Coby and Kaili.. you are a true friend and I’ve loved you so much ever since!
