Willard Jeffery Wilbanks, 75, of Conway went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2023. He was born February 24, 1948 in Batesville, Arkansas to the late Frances Mildred and Willard Corbin Wilbanks, Jr. Willard was proud to be a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He retired from the Corps of Engineers after 40 years. Willard attended Second Baptist Church in Conway, AR. He was a loving husband and father and a devoted "Poss" to his granddaughter. Willard was an intelligent man and a jokester that was always willing to help others and fight for the underdog. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Wilbanks; daughters, Leslie Wilbanks and Lindsey (Brian) Woodruff; granddaughter, Hazel Woodruff; brothers, James (Sandy) Wilbanks, David (MaryDell) Wilbanks and sister, Olivia (James) Young.
A Memorial will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
We lovingly miss Jeff and the stories Jeff, Jimmy and David Alan one-upped each other with every time they came together.
We will truly miss Jeff. We worked together many years. He was a great boss and better friend. Will miss having lunch at Woolly Hollow. Barbara, we hope to see you soon.
Jeff will be missed and lovingly remembered. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
Enjoyed working with him at the Corps of Engineers. He was pleasant and had a sense of humor. Condolences go out to you and your family. May God bless you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Jeff was such a good friend, mentor and all around person. He was the first one who greeted me with the Corps of Engineers 20 years ago. I still kept contact with him. I will miss him so much. RIP my friend

My husband and I are both retired from the Corps of Engineers and had the pleasure of knowing Jeff. My husband worked in the same office with him for several years. We are saddened to hear of his passing and will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.
