I have many memories of Katie growing up. Mom babysat her at times and my girls always enjoyed playing together when we went to Leslie. She was so inspirational about letting her light shine for Jesus. I know she was met with the words Well Done my faithful servant. Praying for her family as this journey is a hard one! Thankful we will see them again!

My sincere condolences to Katie’s family and all who loved her. What an absolutely amazing lady! We met at ATU, over 20 years ago, while in a work group together. Quickly realizing we had some common hometown family and friends, we began a friendship, but who wasn’t friends with Katie that knew her more than 5 minutes? She was beautiful inside and outside! She had a smile that was mesmerizing and a heart that was crystal pure. She certainly fought a good fight and kept the faith. She lived her faith daily through all sickness and adversity, praising God and giving Him glory for all things. Without a doubt, I know she is receiving her reward. My prayers continue for Jolie Kate for comfort and understanding and for her to grow in grace in the footsteps of her mother. ♥️

Katie and I met after her marriage to my cousin, Joe. She has always been such a beautiful person inside and out. Her love for God and her family came through in every conversation we had. I was always impressed that even when life was at its hardest, she found a way to remain hopeful. She will be missed.

I met Katie when she married my Nephew (Joe). She brought happiness and Love into his life. They were so happy and then when Jolie was born it completed both of their lives. I prayed so hard for Katie to overcome her cancer, but it wasn't to be. She was a bright light in everyones life that she came in contact with. I will continue to pray for Jolie and her family. God bless you all.

While there was an age gap, I graduated from Leslie in 1995, I was also diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 15 and knowing that Katie and I were both Diabetic was a kinship I felt regardless.
We reconnected a few years ago again through Diabetes and met up a couple times, but only for a few minutes each time.
We had always talked about meeting up for lunch with several other central AR T1Ds but we never got around to it then COVID happened.
I'll regret not getting the chance. She was always so sweet!!

Whenever I saw Katie, whether at church or in a doctor's office, she had a kind smile and friendly greeting no matter how she felt. To Jolie Kate, Pam and the rest of the family, I pray God's peace, comfort and sweet rest be poured over you. You loved and cared for her so well. Katie had a strong faith in Jesus, and now she is fully healed with Him. May God be glorified by her life & legacy.
