of Hattieville, AR
October 8, 1959 - September 19, 2023
John Clay Hart, age 63, of Hattieville AR, passed away Tuesday September 19th, 2023. He was born October 8th 1959 to the late J.W. "Doc" Hart and Anna Mae "Pete" (Schichtl) Hart. He was also preceded in death by his wife Lisa Annette (Crawford) Hart.
His education included attending the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville receiving a degree in Animal Husbandry followed by a stay at Texas A&M University where he received a Masters Degree in Ranch Management. Shortly after graduation, he moved to the small community, Dexter Kansas, where he raised Hereford Cattle on the original Hart Family Ranch. He lived a life that imitated the life lived in the old west by old Cowboys he read about in famous Western Novels, one of his biggest passions. He liked old tractors, old trucks, and a simple country way of living. He lived a good, happy life, surrounded by friends, and raised a wonderful family. He had a Hart like dry sense of humor that resonated with those who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include his children; Bailey Hart, Ben (Amanda) Hart, and Jessica (Matt) Kaykhossrokiani, and four grandchildren; Joni, Charlea, Forrest, and Emily Kaykhossrokiani. He is also survived by his brothers Mitch Hart, Grant (Inna) Hart, and a sister Toby Hart.
Funeral Mass will be 11 AM Thursday, September 28th at St. Joseph church in Conway Arkansas with Fr. Charles Thessing officiating. A Kansas service will be held Saturday the 30th at 11 AM at the Dexter Outreach Church followed by a burial at the Dexter Cemetery.
