Anna Lois Schwarz

of Harrison, AR

November 28, 1937 - September 19, 2023

Anna Lois Schwarz, age 85, was born on November 28, 1937, and passed peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.

Driven by her desire to help others, Anna worked for over 30 years as both a Licensed Practical Nurse and a Registered Nurse. She started in Music Ministry as a teenager and was an active member of every church family she joined. Anna, also known as Mom and Granny to many, loved life. She was kind, selfless, Godly, and straight-forward. Anna was known for quilting, where she received many ribbons (both County and District), canning foods, painting, travel, and mission works. Many remember Anna for her musical talents, flowers, gardening, church meal preparations, and her love of bread making.

Anna is survived by her husband, Bill; her son, Donald, and wife, Sandra; her daughter, Najaii; her son, David, and wife, Aundi and her daughter, Tanya, and husband, Roger; her bonus children, Bob, Jim and wife, Georgie, Christy and husband, Dennis and Tom and wife, Kelsey; as well as fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

From coast to coast, Granny will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Visitation was Friday, September 22, 2023, at Union Baptist Church located at 3021 Hwy 206, Harrison, Arkansas 72601.

The funeral service was Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Union Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Melton officiating.

Following the service a "Homecoming Celebration" was held for Anna with a meal in the Family Fellowship Hall of the church.

Burial was in Maple Leaf Cemetery located at 421 Maplewood Road, Harrison, Arkansas 72601.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Union Baptist Church Mission Activities.

We are very sorry to learn of Anna’s passing. We knew her when she lived and worked in the Yellville community as well as in Harrison. We attended First Baptist Church in Yellville together for a time. She was cheerful soul and nice to everyone. She will be missed. Prayers for Bill and all the family.
