Mrs. Anita Hanby was a beloved homemaker and cherished member of the Clarkridge community. Mrs. Hanby, aged 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 25, 2023 at her residence in Clarkridge, Arkansas surrounded by the love of her family.
Anita was born on March 23, 1943 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to her parents, Eardie Lee and Erdice (Weston) Graham. From an early age, she displayed a kind and nurturing spirit that would define her life. She grew up in the warmth of her family's love and those who knew her could attest to her unwavering dedication to her loved ones.
Anita's journey led her to the arms of Tom Hanby and together they built a life full of love, joy and shared experiences. Their union was blessed with three children: a son, Tom G. Hanby and two daughters, Sheryl Gardner and Brandi Noval; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Anita's devotion to her family was her guiding light and she found fulfillment and purpose in being a mother and grandmother. Her legacy of love and care will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
In addition to her role as a devoted homemaker, Anita was an active member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Her faith was an integral part of her life and she found solace and strength within the church community. Her compassionate and welcoming nature made her a beloved presence among fellow parishioners.
Anita's memory will be cherished by her loving family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. While she may have left this earthly realm, her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness and grace. As we gather to remember Anita Hanby, let us reflect on the profound impact she had on our lives and the legacy of love she leaves behind. May her soul find eternal rest and may her family and friends find comfort in the memories they shared with her.
The funeral Mass to celebrate Anita's life will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peak Cemetery, c/o Nelda Ward, 763 Powell Road, Royal, AR 71968 or Elite Hospice, 330 Hwy 5N, Ste 20, Mountain Home, AR 72653

Especially to your father. We lost my mom last year and my parents were married just shy of 60 years. I moved to Washington to be with dad. Your folks have the same sort of path. A love story of Love Stories. I’m here for you if you need to talk. Love you all. Xx
My deepest sympathies and love to a family who has always treated me as one of your own. You rest now, Anita, and go have a cup of tea. We will see you again.
