LeAn Johnson

of Conway, AR

February 8, 1946 - August 14, 2023

Le An (Whitecraft) Johnson was born in 1946 in Phoenix, Arizona and died August 14, 2023 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Le An grew up a wild child in Phoenix, the youngest child with an older sister and brother. Her stories about her hijinks while she was at Cortez High School kept the family entertained their entire lives!

Le An had 3 children, Donnie (1964), Debbie (1965) and David (1972) and was completely devoted to them. She was the strongest and most protective Mother anyone could ask for, during some very dark periods for her. But she always had a smile and a laugh for her kids!

She met and fell in love with the love of her life, Ronnie and they began their life journey together in 1974. The blended family, Gerry, Shelley, Scott and Guy, was just as well loved by her. The stories of having 7 kids in 1 car, going on vacations and all the fun and laughter are too numerous to mention!

Le An traveled the world, went to her beloved Ireland and Scotland, lived a life full of adventure and laughter and always had her family in her heart and soul. She loved to sew and create, either clothes or stories! Her dream was to become an author and she was always creating stories. Her quirky sense of humor and style will be missed by all who knew her! Her heart was huge, but so was her feistiness! She said it was her Irishness! An Irish quote that always made her laugh was:

May those who love us love us,
and those that don't love us,
may God turn their hearts.
And if he does not turn their hearts,
may he turn their ankles,
so we'll know them by their limping!

She was met in Heaven by the love of her life, Ronnie, who went ahead and got everything ready for her in 2021. Her parents, Calvin "Pappy" and Gladys and her stepson, Gerry, were there to greet her as well! She is survived by her 3 children, Donnie (Lori), Debbie, David (Gina) and her surviving stepchildren, Shelley (Bobby), Scott (Della) and Guy (Vickie). She has 18 grandkids, Steven (Morgan), Jessie (Kody), Kaitlyn (RJ), Cassie (Tyler), Ellie (Molly), Nicky (Ashton), Carlee, Anna (Taylor), Emily (Brandon), Aaron (Christina), Zach, Shelby, Jordan, Shaylin, Drew (Alex), Cameron, Christopher (Nellie) and Matthew. She has 19 great-grandchildren, Rory, Amelia, Tenley, Ryleagh, Gracen, Shelby, Sammy, Rosie, Ginny, Lia, Conor, Layla, Ezekial, Ava, Xander, Liam, Mila, Clara and Hayden. She also has a special niece, Sherri.

She will be placed with her husband, Ronnie, at Crestlawn Memorial Park, 472 US-64, Conway, Arkansas, 72032 at 10:00 am on Saturday August 19, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, and to honor the spirit she always had, she would want you to tell those you love and who love you, how much they mean to you! And maybe reach out to the struggling single mothers out there, which was always an emphasis in Le An's life.
