Blake Jerome Benefield, age 63, of Paragould, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. He was born on Wednesday, April 6, 1960 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Ales Eugene Benefield and Jennie Nell Skelton. Blake owned and operated his own big truck for a living. He was a member of Browns Chapel Baptist Church in Paragould, Arkansas. When he wasn't out on the road he enjoyed spending time in his garden, visiting friends and having a good time.
He is survived by one brother, Derek Benefield (Sandy) of Russellville, Arkansas; two uncles, RB Skelton of Michigan and Glenn Grayhouse of Paragould, Arkansas; two aunts, Mary Earp (Gene) of Fort Lenardwood, Michigan and Carolyn Collins of Kenneth, Michigan; one niece, Casey Ripper (John); one nephew, Eric Benefield (Jessica); four great nephews, Jackson Benefield, Christian Ripper, Jasper Ripper and Gage Ripper and three great nieces, Alexis Henry, Gracie Willingham and Adeliane Ripper.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Eugene Benefield; grandparents, AJ and Eddyth Benefield and Clyde and Opal Skelton; one uncle, Glenn Ray Skelton and one aunt, Laverne Grayhouse.
A funeral service for Blake Jerome Benefield will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 2:00 p.m. Brother Nathan Perry will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bieth, Eric Benefield, John Ripper and Derek Benefield.

Blake was an Angel on earth! He had a big heart and would do anything for you and never expected anything in return. He wanted to be sure everyone was smiling. He was my friend for many years! I miss him! I will always miss him! He was so unique and I’m a better person for knowing him! God has His Angel back home! I look forward to seeing him again! My prayers for Ms Nell, Derek and all the many friends and family left behind!

So sorry to hear about Blake...He was a "wild" child to say the least, but brought so much laughter wherever he was and thoroughly enjoyed life til the bitter end and I loved him dearly.....I know he is no longer in pain and I hope that brings ya'll peace...Have many great memories of him....
