Jewel Dean Johnson, age 95, of Walls, Mississippi passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023. She was born on Monday, January 23, 1928 in Talahoney, Oklahoma to the late Marvin Fields and Dorothy Mae Holt.
She is survived by her two daughters, Aline Turner (Wallace) of Walls, Mississippi and Brenda Powers (Jerry) of Memphis Tennessee; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Stanford; three grandchildren, Bryan Turner (Cheryl), Suzanna Simpson and Julie Manuel (Kaleb); nine great-grandchildren, Clair Ahalt, Eryon Queen, Samuel Stanford Turner, Andrew Simpson, Jared Simpson, Brett Brokeshoulder, Jewel Brokeshoulder, Jaden Manuel and Liam Manuel and four great-great-grandchildren, Sophie Ahalt, Lucus Ahalt, Mark Brokeshoulder and Hayes Queen.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Howard Stanford; second husband, Raymond Johnson; one son, Marlin Stanford; two grandchildren, Leslie Brokeshoulder and Baby Boy Turner; two brothers and four sisters.
A funeral service for Jewel Dean Johnson will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023. Brother Luke Watson will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas.
