Barbara "Bobbie" Ruth Rawls

of O'Fallon, MO

October 10, 1938 - June 21, 2023

Barbara Ruth ''Bobbie'' Rawls, 84, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. She was born Monday, October 10, 1938 in Garner, Arkansas to Edgar Dallas and Ruby Arlis Phillips Price. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years at the time of his death, John Thomas Rawls; two brothers, Dallas and James Price and one sister, Minnie Belle Price Fowler. She was a member of the Higginson United Methodist Church and was a Charter and active member of the UNEEK Homemakers Extension Club since October 1960 and attended as long as she was able to do so.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Tina (Mike) Miller of O'Fallon, Missouri; her grandchildren, Thomas and Molly and several great grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends.

Bobbie had the most important job of any and she loved it and did it with pride and excellence. She was able to be a stay-at-home mom and housewife to her family. Bobbie was always there and ready to help with any community activity and preparing food for those who were sick or had lost a loved one. She enjoyed keeping house and taking care of her flowers and the yard. Everything was always in place and was neat and tidy. She loved her visits to Tina and Mike's home in O'Fallon, but she was also ready to come back to her home in Higginson.

Visitation will be 10-11AM on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home, followed by a Graveside Service at White County Memorial Gardens at 11:30AM, also on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. Interment will follow. All arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home/Searcy.

Bobbie, and her late husband, John, were our very close neighbors in Higginson, Arkansas. Even though more than forty years have passed they both weigh fondly on my mind. We often played croquet, also, they had a color TV--we didn't-- and invited us over to watch. A special Monday night favorite was Rowan and Martin's "Laff In." One Christmas-New Year season we were coming home from visiting relatives in Ohio. My wife became ill and a snow storm forced us to spend the night in Nashville.
I phoned Bobbie and told her that we would be a day late. When we got home she had prepared a wonderful hot roast dinner. That meal played a great part in my wife's recovery. After that meal and a good nights sleep she didn't even need to go to the doctor. When ever I hear the term "Good Neighbor" I immediately think of John and Bobbie.

I am sorry for your families loss. I loved Bobbi. I remember picking her up to take her to mom's beauty shop. She was very kind lady. Prayers for your family.
