Verline Warren Stansbury Atkins, 84, of Danville, AL passed away June 18, 2023. Verline was born May 16, 1939 to Grady and Aleene Warren in Lambert, Mississippi. She loved unconditionally, no matter your status and was always a champion for the needy. Verline was equally passionate about caring for all animals and many times throughout her life taking in animals to care for them. She was very generous with Charities that focused on helping others as well as Shelters. Verline loved traveling and has been in almost every state in the United States as well as Canada, Mexico and parts of Europe. Verline was also an avid reader and enjoyed reading in her spare time. She retired from Consolidated Freightways in Columbus, MS as Office Manager. She was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church in Speake, AL. She leaves behind her husband, James Atkins; son, Chris Stanford Stansbury and wife, Marilyn of Danville, AL; daughter, Connie Stansbury of Tryone, GA; 2 grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; brothers, Sidney Warren of Greenville, MS and Victor Warren of Manila, AR; sisters, Mamie Fisk of Coffeeville, MS and Gwen Clowers of Maben, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jeri Gay McAdams; brothers, Glenn Warren, William Warren, Durrell Warren, Tommy Warren and sister, Gene Acker.

I am so blessed to have meet you and spent time with you and your family. I immediately loved you! You were are angel on earth!! You will be missed terribly but I will always cherish the time I got to spend with you. Til we meet again,
