of Vilonia, AR
July 5, 1960 - June 17, 2023
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Daniel George Del Campo Jr.
Dan lost his battle with cancer on June 17th while at home surrounded by his love ones.
Daniel was born July 5th, 1960 in California to Harriette and Daniel Del Campo Sr. Being the son of a Naval Officer, the family moved around until finally settling in San Diego, California in 1967.
As a young adult, Dan moved to Holland, Arkansas where he began working at American Cabinets and then later at Kimberly-Clark where he happily retired in July 2022. Dan's love of life included the outdoors, be it hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, kayaking or chasing waterfalls; Always finding beauty in the world around him. Dan also had fun laughing and playing practical jokes with friends and family, but his tough guy persona was never bigger than his love for his family.
Dan was known for his integrity of being a hard worker and acquired many self-taught skills over the years. Dan was fond of quiet mornings where he could sit and drink coffee while reading his bible; as well as attending services at First Baptist Church in Star City, where he was a member.
Daniel is survived by his amazing wife, Jane Weatherford-Del Campo; his daughter, Lizette Del Campo Williams (Dustin); two step-daughters, Angela DeLong and Kristy Ford; 4 grand children, Devin Sullivan, Brianna Smith, Brooke DeLong, Arianna Rensel; his siblings, Donald Del Campo, Doug Del Campo and Cherree' Del Campo-Cassidy; 3 nieces; 2 nephews and a wonderful step family. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and grand-parents.
Visitation services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas from 6:00-9:00pm.
