James "Oscar" Gonzalez, Sr., 74, of Osceola, AR passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in Memphis, TN. He was born in Victoria, AR on August 15, 1948 to Herman and Lorene Gonzalez. To many, Oscar was known as "Pawpaw" and "Big Oscar". He was the owner of Bugmobile of Arkansas, Inc, Past President of Arkansas Pest Management Association, a member of New Life UPC in Osceola and served in the Army National Guard. He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Gonzalez and his parents. He is survived by his sons, Oscar (Pam) Gonzalez, Jr. and Greg Gonzalez all of Osceola; grandchildren, Stephanie Bell, Jade Allen Gonzalez, Nickolas Gonzalez, Jacob Gonzalez, Jensie Gonzalez, and Maci Sickels who was like a granddaughter to him; great-grandchildren, Remy Drake Bell and Anna Blayke Bell; brother, Ricky Gonzalez; sisters, Linda Thompson and Rhonda (Toy) Morgan and best friend, Ken Palmer. The visitation will be held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola. I really hated to hear about Big Oscar's passing. I've known this man my whole life. Went to church with him and his family for the biggest part of it. I have lots of great memories with them. Prayers for the family in their time of grief.
