November 30, 1955 - May 28, 2023

Deb McInturff, of Jonesboro was born on November 30, 1955 in Trumann, AR to L.T. and Lucille (Holt) Carter. She relocated to her Heavenly home on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at the age of 67.
Deb was happily married to James "Jim" McInturff, the love of her life, for 35 years. She enjoyed her life and lived it to the fullest. Over the years, she, along with her husband, enjoyed biking, hiking, running, shopping and traveling the world. Throughout her life, she was always ready to go on the next adventure and she thrived on learning new things. Deb was an educator by trade. Before her retirement, she taught elementary school classes for many years in the Forrest City School District, The Wynne School District and the Jonesboro School District. She kept her classrooms entertained and all the children loved her fun personality. Deb was born into a very large family, where she was the 9th of 10 children. She loved her family dearly but enjoyed the title of "Aunt Deb" more than anything else.
Deb was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Jonesboro, AR. She loved her church and she loved serving God by being a servant to others. Over the years, she was a member of the Verge's Guild, where she served as Head Verger. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She was active in the Episcopal Church Women and women's social group. She was elected to the Vestry and served on the St. Mark's Episcopal Day School Board. Deb, along with her dedication to her Heavenly Father's work will be greatly missed by her church family.
In addition to her husband and parents, Deb is preceded in death by 3 brothers, William Carter, Robert Carter and Larry Carter; two nephews, Nicky Wright and Chip Carter; a great-nephew, Jason Crawford and her four-legged baby, Bella.
She is survived by 3 brothers and 3 sisters, Peggy Wright, Michael Carter and Junior (Patsy) Carter all of Trumann, AR, Jimmy (Doris) Carter of Harrisburg, AR and Patricia (Terry) Muse and Bonnie (Wayne) Harvey of Owasso, OK. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends, along with her church family at St. Mark's.
Visitation with family and friends will be on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Jonesboro, AR at 2 PM. A memorial service to celebrate Deb's life will follow immediately after, beginning at 3 PM with the Rev. Katherine Wren and Rev. Kevin Gore presiding.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Deb's name to Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, the Jonesboro Humane Society, or the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the care of Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR.
