Richard was my father-in-law, but he was much more than that: he was my friend. We traveled together, both domestically and internationally. We hunted together and spent many hours just visiting around an open fire. We were dive buddies. Together, we dove about every freshwater lake in Arkansas that had any visibility, and we enjoyed diving in the Pacific, the Gulf, and the Carribean. We played golf together. He did not take up the game until he was 70 years old, and I was a bit jealous that he could outscore me on a round. I will miss my friend but will see him one day again.

Richard was a part of our Life Group, our “ family “ at Cabot FBC Cabot and is missed already when he wasn’t in class today.
Our deepest sympathies for all of you.
We  pray that God will give you comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding. We are praying for each of you in your grief and know that Jesus will fulfill his promise and be “…close to the brokenhearted and rescue those whose spirits are crushed” Psalm 34:18

Words cannot adequately describe our feelings at the loss of Richard. He was a brother to us. So many years of memories, happy times and times of extreme grief) shared with him and our wonderful Sally. Our love and prayers are with all the family at this time.

We were so sorry to learn of Richard’s passing. He and Sally were part of our Life Group at Cabot First Baptist Church for many years. We loved them both and feel his absence already. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, who we know he loved dearly.
