We knew Harvey Parnell Derrick from Danville High School; and through the years as a beloved friend. He was loyal to his family and church. He always enjoyed going back to high school reunions and visiting family and friends in Yell County. He and Barbara raised three fine sons. He was very proud of his sons and grandchildren. Parnell had a successful military and postal service career. He had a great sense of humor. Our family deeply respected him. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

I can't begin to tell you how great Parnell Derrick was. A friend to all that knew him and willing to help anyone at anytime. I will always remember strawberry picking time. We would pick a bumper crop every year. Of course he always laughed at the cap I wore.Lol It hurts so bad to let go of the man that will always be my Father in law no matter what. So long for now. See ya later
