Charlotte Poor

of Rogers, AR

October 16, 1931 - April 16, 2023

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Charlotte Poor, went peacefully to her heavenly home on April 16, 2023. Charlotte was born on October 16, 1931 in Chicago, IL.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Ralph Poor; Charlotte's parents, Truman and Anna Brown; her brother, Ron Brown; her sister, Beatrice Jacobsen and her daughter, Kathy Boyts.

She leaves behind four brothers, Kenneth Brown, Edwin Brown, Wendell Brown and Norman Brown, and one son, Keith Poor. Charlotte was blessed with six grandchildren, Amanda Poor, Nathan Poor, Shannon Peikert, Christoper Boyts, Brandon Boyts and Brock Boyts and 9 great-grandchildren, Nykile, Rylynn, Nathan, Mackenzie, Annabella, Taylor, Layla, Lincoln and Leona. Also cherishing her memory are numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In her youth, Charlotte attended Moody Bible Institute, majoring in Christian Education. She was greatly fulfilled by her work, teaching children. She also supported and taught Sunday School programs at First Baptist Church.

Charlotte had a true passion for drapery work. Her beloved husband, Ralph, built a custom drapery work room in their IL home. She went on to work at Marshall Field as an interior designer and they eventually moved and settled in NW Arkansas.

Charlotte also loved being a homebody and enjoyed cooking, sewing, embroidery and was an avid reader of books. Through the later stages of her battle with Parkinson's disease, she lived with her son, Keith, his fiance, Bianca Espinoza and stepdaughter, Samantha. At the time of her passing, she went peacefully in the night.

During their marriage, Charlotte and Ralph were happily inseparable. The family is grateful they are now together again.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Roller Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens.

I loved my dear Cousin Charlotte and it later years she tole me about my mother who died very young.

We will be reunited. She was a follower and string believe in God whom she knew personally through Jesus Christ.

What a gift she and her family were to me...and all of us. I am grateful beyond words.

I knew Charlotte at First Baptist Rogers but only had limited contact with her. I had lunch with her several times and visited with her. She was a lovely lady and I am glad I got to know her. I’m glad she’s not sick anymore and is in her heavenly home.

I very much enjoyed the time that I got to know her while being her caregiver. Even though she was not well she was always ready to share with me her knowledge of sewing. She will be very well missed, such an amazing woman.

May there be peace in knowing your mother is looking from the heavens rejoicing after completing her journey here in earth. And that this time on earth is just a short passage before we are all united to share eternity together.
