My thoughts and prayers are with Doug's family. Doug was always a kind classmate, funny and full of life. When others may have tended to judge because of the family one may have grown up in or your looks, Doug saw you for yourself. RIP, dear classmate.

Dougy you were the best….I enjoyed stopping by in Merrill at Shirley & Johns growing up when we went there with my parents Wayne & Margaret and all of my brothers and sisters. Being able to keep in touch at our family reunions, graduations, weddings etc was priceless and also brought a smile to mine and especially Margaret’s face. You are gone but with us in spirit forever….Margaret, Shirley, John and many many others with gladly welcome you at gods table as your eternal life amongst the angels will surely continue as you look upon us and lead us through…until we meet again🙏

Oh, Doug my little brother, I shared a true love between a sister and brother!!! I already miss the time we shared over the past 6 months in texts and facetime. Now whenever I go fishing putting my rod in the water, I will remember the times we went fishing in Arkansas with you and Dix. I will remember days when you lived here in Le Mars, Dixie's coffeecake and coffee. Dixie Bobbie and Joel, Zaden and Katie and David, Eli you're in my thoughts and prayers. Someday we will all be together again, and I can't hardly wait. So, Doug help Jesus builds more rooms in His mansion in Heaven.

First of all my condolences to Dixie, Bobbie, Kaite and Family.

Doug was my brother-in-law, my friend and best all-around guy there was, I will always cherish the times we had and with Dixie who was by his side always. He was just a blast to be around all the time. I can never remember a time where i saw him mad unless he hit thumb with the hammer then yes mad as a hornet at that hammer. All who knew him will agree he was a talented carpenter and handy man he taught me many tricks of the trade which he was not shy about sharing. Oh, just to have one more Keystone with him would be awesome. Doug was loved by many, and a lot of people missed out on meeting one heck of guy sure glad I didn't. Rest in Peace Doug and see you on the other side.
