John Douglass Jr., went home to be with the Lord in Osceola on Sunday, April 16, 2023. He was born in Osceola on February 1, 1934 to John Stephen and Ruth Douglass. John was a veteran sharp shooter for the United States Airforce. He worked for many years at American Greetings Corp, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Osceola, and served the Lord faithfully. He enjoyed going to the lake, camping, and fishing. John was recognized as a top fan of the Osceola Seminoles. He is survived by his son: Stephen (Debbie) Douglass IV; daughters: Leslie Rowsey, Billie Ann Poynor; grandchildren: John (Summer) Douglass V, Tyler (Courtney) Douglass, Courtney Douglass, Hayden Rowsey, Blaire Rowsey, Lari Lyn Poynor; great grandchildren: Amanda Douglass, Blayke Douglass, Isaac Pendly, William Rowsey, and Amelia Freeman; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: George Douglass; sisters: Peggy Jones and Clara Willhite. A Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Osceola on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm.
