Ruth Lee Droddy, 94, of Elizabeth entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Arkansas Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born on July 26, 1928 and resided in Louisiana until 2020. During her time on this side of heaven, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She performed many roles, including work at the Elizabeth Paper Mill, bookkeeper for her brothers' logging business and church secretary. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Pine Grove Baptist Church and later, Elizabeth Baptist Church. Her family will most cherish their memories on Droddy Hill with both Granny and Pawpaw, as she hosted many holiday gatherings. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Doley (Maricle) Willis; her husband, Rayford Droddy; two sons, Jerry Wayne Droddy and James Ray Droddy; three grandchildren, Cory McHenry, Terry Wayne Droddy and Breanne Sonnier and her siblings, Herman Willis, R. L. Willis, Jewel Lee Mancil, Burnell Stevens, Goldie May Willis, James Willis, Wanda Cloud and Hilton Willis.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her daughter, Gaynelwn Sonnier of Mittie, Louisiana; Melvina Williams and her husband, Lofton of Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters, Evelyn Long, Leona Dial and Louise Willis of Louisiana; ten grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

I spent a great deal of my youth in her home. I loved the whole family. She always had a smile on her face and she loved life. I am not worried about her, she is with Rayford again. Prayers for her family.
