Joyce "Suzie" Annette Sandifer

of Shirley, AR

November 18, 1938 - April 10, 2023

Joyce Annette Sandifer 84, of Shirley, Arkansas went to her heavenly home on Monday, April 10, 2023. She was born to the late OB (Joe) and Gladys (Morris) Sandifer on November 18, 1938 in Elgin, Texas.

Affectionately known as Suzie, she had many hobbies which included being a caregiver, reading books, helping others and taking care of her place. She had a larger home but by far she preferred her ''˜Hobbit' house. She led a simple life and was very matter-of-fact and knew what she wanted and had no problem voicing how she felt. Suzie loved her solitude and a visitor every now and then. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Sherry Menley Stiles, Larry Wayne Menley, Perry Drew Menley, Andy Jo Conn, grandchildren; Chauncey Walden, Misty Walden, Sarah Jayne Stiles, Naomi Stephenson, Mindy Menley, Michael Menley, Scott Preston Menley, Sage Menley, Leana Hoff, fifteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, siblings: Bobby Dean Sanifer of Shirley, Arkansas, Doug Sandifer of Elgin, Texas, Nelda Kubicek, Chris Mucha, Shirleen Sandifer all of Texas, nephew, Zachary Sandifer and numerous friends and extended family.

There will be a Potluck Memorial at 12:00p.m., on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Shirley Community Center in Shirley, Arkansas.

I remember this lady from years ago when she came to the hardware store in Clinton. She was really a stunning gal and I admired her. She had no fear of hard work and could carry on very interesting conversations. She was a reader. I'm glad to see she got to live out her days in her precious oasis. God speed Mrs. Sandifer.
