Noryce Williams Medley
of Mountain View, AR
August 15, 1943 - April 11, 2023

Noryce Williams Medley, 79, passed away April 11, 2023 at her home in Mountain View, AR. She peacefully left her earthly home with her two daughters (Susan, Laura) and her precious dog (Gibby) by her side listening to Christian music and singing to her. She was born to Elmer and Edna Williams on August 15, 1943.

Noryce was a faithful member of Foothills Baptist Church in Mountain View where she served as a member of the WMU as well as a part-time volunteer creating the church bulletin. She loved Jesus, her family, her community and her church. She made this known to everyone she encountered in her daily life. In her work life prior to retirement, she was a legal secretary, a career that she loved. Post-retirement, Noryce's goal was to move to Mountain View, where she had spent years vacationing with her family, especially her husband Robert (Coach) Medley. She cherished her time in Mountain View (9 years), gaining many lifelong friends and enjoying the music at the Ozark Folk Center. Noryce was also a wonderful grandmother who loved to spoil her grandkids.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Galzerano (Anthony), of Heber Springs, Arkansas and Laura Simmons (Rich), of Winthrop, Maine. She has four grandchildren (Lindsay, Julia, Wyatt and Anthony, and was looking forward to her first great-grandchild this coming June. She also has three loving brothers George Williams (Tish) of Bay St Louis, MS, Brian Williams (Pam) of West Memphis, AR, and Kent Williams (Beverly) of Marion, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Edna Williams; her spouse, Robert Medley; one grandchild, Wyatt Boxley; and her brother Don Williams.

Services will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, 201 N. Pine St. in West Memphis, Arkansas on Saturday, April 14, 2023 beginning with Visitation at 1pm, followed by a funeral service at 2pm. A graveside service will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR.

Noryce was a very important part of our church and will be missed. She was a lovely lady and friend and was always there to help and smile. It is comforting knowing she is with her Savior and out of the pain of this life.

I worked with Noryce many years ago at the first large law firm where I had ever been. Being young, I was confused about many of the procedures the larger firms had vs the smaller firms where I had worked before. Noryce was there to lend a hand and provide guidance to me as the younger person who I was at that time. She was a fantastic mentor and someone who I always felt comfortable being around. She was kind and compassionate to me and helped me to grow in my journey as a younger person who was getting started with their career. I will always be grateful to her for the kindness she showed to me. I have often thought of her throughout the years, and I guess it was because of the positive impression and impact she made on me at the time when I needed it most. I know without a doubt God shall welcome her into His greatness, just as she welcomed others, and that she will be at peace forevermore, because of the peaceful kindness she showed unto others. I pray God will bless her friends and family in abundance during this time of grief, and that they will be comforted in spirit, body, soul, and mind...now, and in the time to come. It was truly *my privilege* to know Noryce Medley.
