Debra Gary Doshier

of Yellville, AR

October 23, 1952 - April 8, 2023

Debra Ann (Gary) Doshier, age 70, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away at home on April 8th, 2023

Debra was born October 23, 1952 in Camilla, Georgia to Joseph Leslie Gary and Mazie Lee (Cranford) Gary. She married Phillip Doshier on December 23, 1983 in Columbus, Georgia. She had a variety of positions in her working career including: AT&T operator, Bank Teller, Accounts Receivable clerk, Merchandiser, Church Secretary at two different churches, Insurance Agent for AFLAC and Woodmen Life, as well as Marion County Treasurer. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Yellville.

She loved fishing, camping, her chickens and dogs, the farm animals, the beach, traveling and snow. She was a passionate sports fan. Her professional teams were the Atlanta Braves baseball and Atlanta Falcons football. She cheered for the University of Georgia sports programs, but had become a die hard Razorback. She watched and cheered for both men's and women's sports almost anytime they were on. She played softball for years and coached ball for her children. But what she was most passionate about was her family. She had a few close friends that she had special relationships with, some since childhood.

Debra is survived by her husband, Phillip Doshier of the home; her son, William Eric Dowis of Ball Ground, Georgia; her daughter, Ansley Nicole Fort of Cumming, Georgia; her son, Matthew Tyler Doshier of the home; her mother, Mazie Lee (Cranford) White of Columbus, Georgia; brothers, Joe Gary of Phenix City, Alabama, James Gary, of Phenix City, Alabama; sisters, Betty Smart, of Auburn, Alabama, Angela Wills of Columbus, Georgia; three grandchildren, Kaitlynn Macready of Lagrange, Georgia, Casson Hawker and Bently Hawker of Cumming, Georgia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

I will miss seeing my neighbor and fellow Georgian tend her cattle on the other side of Crooked Creek . . . a daily pastoral scene that my wife and I never tire of.
My most sincere condolences to Phillip, Verl, Betty and the rest of the family. I pray that His peace that passes all understanding will envelope you all! Jim

Phillip, Matthew, Ansley, and Eric,

Please accept our sincere condolences.

Debra always made me feel special. I have many warm memories of her. One of my favorite memories is of the "debut" she hosted when Reese was born to give the extended family an opportunity to meet him. It was a lovely party. Her kindness meant so much to me then and will never be forgotten.

You are all in our prayers.
