Gladys Hoey

of Little Rock, AR

December 20, 1938 - March 31, 2023

Our incredible mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Gladys Waller Hoey of Bryant, Arkansas went to her heavenly home on Friday, March 31, 2023. She was 84 years of age.

She will be fondly remembered by her children, Cindy Davis (Herschel), Tammy Fortune and Edward Hoey (Shannon); grandchildren, Amy O'Malley (Ken) and Nathan Davis; great-grandchildren, Gracyn O'Malley and Caleb O'Malley. She is also survived by sisters, Joan Barrett (Paul) and Dorothy West and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Marshall Hoey; brother, George Waller; sister-in-law, Linda Waller and her parents, James and Alta Waller.

Gladys enjoyed writing poetry, painting and volunteering, but she most enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to joyously serve her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in whom she trusted with all her heart. She was generous to family, friends and strangers. She will be greatly missed but the values and lessons she left us will live on.

Visitation is Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 6:00-8:00PM at Roller Drummond Funeral Home in Little Rock, Arkansas. Funeral services are Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 11:30AM at Roller Drummond Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (lbda.org).

Eddie & all:
So sorry to read of your Mother's passing.
She was a friendly and kind neighbor in
Wakefield Village. Good memories of that
time of our lives. Eddie, you brought a
different board game over just about every
afternoon after school for April & Phillip to play.
Oh yes and lots of fun with the lemonade stand.
I regret we never did get to a movie with the profits. Phyllis Rye

Gladys was dear friend of mine. I was her neighbor. I sure do miss seeing her out in the year.

May the lord be with all of you at this time.
