John Allen Talbot III, age 74, of Cabot passed away March 24, 2023 at his home.
He was born February 18, 1949 in Little Rock to John A. Talbot, Jr. and Thelma Talbot. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Stroud Austin and nephew, Mike Austin.
John worked in payroll for Arkla Gas and was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.
He was inducted in the Arkansas Bowling Hall of Fame, the Central Arkansas Bowling Hall of Fame and was State UIC for USSSA.
John loved playing golf and was an avid Razorback fan.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Talbot; two sons, Jonathan (Laura Brown) Talbot and Michael (Sarah) Talbot; four grandchildren, Nathan Talbot, Amelia Talbot, Emerson Talbot and Allie Talbot and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, March 31st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock.
Graveside service will be Saturday, April 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

I have known John since he was a teenager. You would very seldom see John when he did not have a smile on his face. We didn't see each other much after I quit bowling, but when we did, he was the same thoughtful and caring person that he had always been. Heaven will be getting a wonderful person.

I grew up around John at Pike Lanes in the 70's and 80's. He was a great bowler, but a better man. So many great times with him back in those days. He had nothing bad to say about anyone and always had a smile on his face; usually a funny story to share. Rest in peace my friend!

I enjoyed living next door to John and Pat for 16 years. I can still smell the steaks John would cook at lunch. I saw him everyday and he was always so kind. My thoughts and prayers are with Pat, Jonathan, and Michael.

John and Bill Turpin brought me to Little Rock to bowl with them in 1976. I learned so much being around John. Not just bowling but how to be a better person. He was as good as you would ever hope to know. Pat, prayers for you and your family
